How about Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test

Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test Dengue virus non-structural protein NS1. This protein is secreted into the blood during dengue infection.

Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test has been developed for serum. Most of these tests use synthetically labeled antibodies to detect the dengue NS1 protein.

How should Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test be used and when during infection?

NS1 can be detected during the acute phase of dengue virus infection. NS1 tests can be as sensitive as molecular tests during the first 0-7 days of symptom onset. After day 7, NS1 testing is not recommended.

A positive Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test result indicates dengue infection, but does not provide serotype information. Knowing the serotype of the infectious virus is not essential for patient care; however, if serotype information is required for surveillance purposes, samples should be tested by NAT.

Although studies have shown that NS1 can be found in whole blood or plasma, most NS1 tests have been developed and evaluated in serum samples. While combined NS1 and IgM antibody testing usually provides a diagnosis within the first 1-7 days of illness, when both antigen and antibody testing are negative, a second convalescent sample should be obtained and tested for IgM.

Interpretation of results

A positive NS1 test result confirms dengue virus infection without providing serotype information.

A negative Easysweet Dengue NS1 Rapid Test result does not rule out infection. People with negative NS1 results should be tested for dengue IgM antibodies to identify possible recent dengue exposure.

availability

Dengue NS1 tests are available as commercial diagnostic kits, primarily by some public health and commercial laboratories.
