Instructions for Easysweet Rotavirus rapid test

Rotavirus is the most common cause of pediatric gastroenteritis (also known as stomach flu, although not related to the influenza virus) and diarrhea. There are five rotaviruses, called A, B, C, D, and E. Rotavirus A accounts for more than 90% of human infections. All five species can cause animal diseases. Worldwide, more than 500,000 children under the age of 5 die each year from rotavirus infection, and more than 2,000,000 become seriously ill each year, mainly in developing countries. Rotavirus accounts for 50% of hospitalizations in infants and children with severe diarrhea. The virus is spread by oral or fecal routes.

Principle of Easysweet Rotavirus rapid test

Easysweet Rotavirus Rapid Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. For the rotavirus rapid test, add a diluted stool sample to the sample well of the rotavirus rapid test kit. A sample in the rotavirus rapid test flows over a labeling pad containing rotavirus antibodies conjugated to red colloidal gold. If the rotavirus rapid test sample contains rotavirus antigen, the antigen will bind to the antibody coated on colloidal gold particles to form an antigen-antibody-gold complex.

Easysweet also offers other infectious disease rapid tests and infectious disease detection kits. For more information on rapid test kits contact our customer service representatives who will assist you as best as possible.
